Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). As a child she was enrolled in at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was inspired to become an actor by the age of six. Through the years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. At the age of 10, she had already taken part in many Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after 8 auditions, that she had been picked for these parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's film debut came with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). It was the year's top production, and it broke records on opening day and the very first weekend. Reviewers were awed by the performance of the film as well as its story. The highly distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performance as admirable. Emma was later awarded five prizes in recognition of her work in the movie.
