Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21, 1983) is a famous American actor. Particularly, she appeared as Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost TV show as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. Following the divorce of her parents the actress left Worthington Ohio in order to settle at Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time with finances. In 2002, she was nominated for an Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murdered Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons in 2004 and was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award (with other cast members) alongside her. Grace decided to leave the show in order to concentrate on her professional film work. She had starred alongside Tom Welling opposite in The Fog earlier in the year 2005. The actress has also appeared on Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and in 2007 as well as in Taken with Liam Neeson in 2008 as Kim Mills. In 2008, she played the same role in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both in 2012). Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes playing Shannon. She also was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. The actress plays Faith as a groupie, and also her muse to the stars, who catches the attention of Hank Moody played by David Duchovny. She is a member of the Gyllenhaal Family she's the daughter and older sister of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens, she played small parts in her father's movies and co-starred with her older sister in Donnie Darko the cult classic. Then she appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal has received critical praise for her leading roles in Secretary (2002, erotic romantic drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606), both that earned her Golden Globe Award nods. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received more attention for her role as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Gyllenhaal was the writer and director of her debut film The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. It was also nominated to The Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
