Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German television and film actress best known for her performances in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole one child to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into showbiz early and landed up being the lead in a variety of shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are also Oscar nominees featuring women. Alexandra was involved in various notable films, globally and nationally. The most notable of these include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon as well as other miniseries. In addition, she was a member of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
