Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico in a family who loved music. She spent the majority of her youth listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, classic ranchero or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, and commenced more serious training in singing when she was 16 under the renown Mexican Tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and being a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choirs. When she moved from Mexico to America in 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. She is passionate about singing, music and the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana is also an ex-member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for having the chance to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations, to help keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
